Smart Hearing Protection™ allows you to control the quantity of the sound you hear as simply as pushing a button, without affecting the quality of the sound – no extra noise is added, and nothing is filtered out. You can do it at moment notice, any time you need to.
What Is It?
Smart Hearing Protection™ is a patent pending, small, user worn, user controlled module that allows a musician to adjust the amount of sound they hear from each of four directions. Four specially designed microphones mounted on high quality in-ear earphones receive sounds from all directions. The soundsare then fed to a main control box that allows the wearer to make on-thefly adjustments as to how much sound is coming from each direction. The signals are then sent back to the earphones where they are reproduced in perfect fidelity.This illustration shows an early concept. The production model has replaced the rotary volume controls with more intuitive push buttons.

Our current projections show that the suggested selling price for our initial model will be in the range of $650 for the complete unit: that includes the earphones, microphones, and control unit.
